The root cause of hip dips lies in pelvic bone structure (greater trochanter protrusion), which cannot be filled by strength training alone. Exercise can build gluteus medius and maximus volume, but cannot change the fat layer distribution over the skeleton. Laprin's 3D Hip Line Design addresses the structural contour that exercise cannot fix, and combining exercise after the procedure helps maintain results longer.
Patients with lower body fat may have limited graftable fat. However, Laprin's E-Lipo precision harvesting + SVF concentration method extracts stem cell-rich, high-density grafting material even from small amounts of fat, enabling effective volume correction for slim body types. We provide realistic expectations after body analysis during the initial consultation.
In most cases, noticeable changes are visible after a single session. However, grafted fat stabilizes over 3-6 months, and final results are evaluated at approximately 3 months. If refinement is needed, a small touch-up can be performed, depending on body type and goals. We design a 1-2 session plan during consultation.
SVF (Stromal Vascular Fraction) contains concentrated adipose-derived stem cells, vascular endothelial cells, and growth factors that enhance vascular remodeling and cell survival at the grafting site. Because Laprin separates SVF from E-Lipo-harvested fat before grafting, more stable survival rates can be expected compared to simple centrifugation. Exact survival rates vary by individual and will be discussed during consultation.
For 2-3 days after surgery, movement will be slow and you'll feel soreness, so rest at home is recommended. For office and non-physical workers, returning to work is typically possible within 3-7 days. Jobs requiring prolonged standing or walking should allow about one week. Start with short periods and gradually increase activity.
The procedure is performed under twilight anesthesia, so there is minimal pain during the operation. Post-procedure, most patients experience muscle-soreness-like aching and tightness rather than sharp pain — especially in liposuction areas (abdomen, waist, thighs). Pain is manageable with prescribed medication. Bruising and swelling peak between Days 3–7, then visibly subside within Weeks 1–2. Residual swelling and mild firmness may last up to 4–6 weeks; your final contour typically settles around 2–3 months. E-Lipo preserves the fibro-septal network (FSN), significantly reducing surface irregularities. As with all medical procedures, risks include bleeding, infection, and swelling — individual risk factors are discussed at consultation.
After hip fat grafting, the key is to avoid direct pressure on the grafted area. For the first ~2 weeks, we recommend a special thigh-weight cushion or taking very brief, frequent seated breaks. Short-distance driving is possible after Weeks 1–2. For sleep, a prone or side-lying position is recommended for the first 2–3 weeks. As swelling decreases and comfort improves, you can gradually expand sleeping positions. Back-lying is permitted once sufficient recovery time has passed.
Compression garments are typically recommended for 2-4 weeks on liposuction areas (abdomen, flanks, thighs). However, since direct compression on grafted hip/pelvic areas can affect fat survival, custom compression garments designed to exclude those areas are used, or exclusion zones are created per medical team guidance. Wear duration varies by procedure scope and will be detailed during your visit.
Light daily walking is possible immediately after surgery and is actually encouraged for circulation. Brisk walking and light cardio can typically begin after Weeks 3–4. Squats, jumps, and lower-body strength training that engage the glutes intensively are recommended to resume gradually after Weeks 6–8, once the grafted fat has stabilized. Return-to-exercise timing varies by individual recovery and will be guided step by step at follow-up visits.
Cost varies depending on the scope and combination of procedures, and an accurate estimate is provided after body analysis during the initial consultation. You don't necessarily need all three — E-Lipo sculpting, SVF fat grafting, and infragluteal lifting. The doctor analyzes your body type and selects only the necessary procedures to design the most efficient plan. If only hip dip improvement is needed, SVF grafting alone is possible.
